We have heard from just over 300 people who want to form a union at Toyota as soon as possible. What we are hearing is that Toyota has released their “Production and Maintenance + Compensation Update” We know many of you are frustrated with the recent update, Toyota's compensation package is significantly below those levels of Unifor agreements.

We have heard the request for Unifor Organizers to be present at the plants to put pressure on Toyota. We understand why you are asking, Unifor is proven to support workers who want to stand up for better wages and working conditions in their workplaces to join Canada’s strongest union, Canada's Union for Autoworkers.

What We Need from You Now

We're calling for an inside organizing committee—workers from different departments, shifts, and areas of both plants who are willing to step up as Unifor representatives.

Here's what that looks like:

  • Talk to your coworkers. Find out what they're thinking and feeling.
  • Answer questions honestly. Help them understand why representation matters.
  • Build support. Trust takes time, and every voice counts on the team.
  • Decide what comfort level works for you. Not everyone needs to be a public face—everyone has a role to play.

Unifor will provide resources, legal support, and experienced organizers. But the campaign must be led by Toyota workers themselves. We cannot do this from the outside—we need you on the inside.

If you are interested in being an inside committee person. Contact a Unifor Organizer (information listed below)

Union Card Sign-Ups

300 workers have already taken the step and signed a Unifor Membership Card with several other workers explicitly stating they want to sign union cards now.

If you are serious about making changes at Toyota, this is the time to get involved.

Unifor will be there to support you—but the campaign has to be built by Toyota workers.

The goal isn't simply to get Toyota's attention for a day.

The goal is to build enough worker power that Toyota has to listen.

If you are ready to help build the inside committee, reach out to us. Let's start building this together.
